Inspiring this collaboration between Poste Laroche x Uplifted by Meve, is our shared value of reducing waste and keeping textile & reusable materials out of landfills.
Our goal with this collection is to honor Mary-Eve’s vision and her passion for transforming vintage artwork, sourced mainly from local thrift stores, into a limited edition of originally designed pieces printed exclusively for Poste Laroche, on vintage and second hand garments, giving both the artwork and the t-shirt a second life.
Because they are thrifted, each tee is one-of-a-kind. There will be slight variances in size, material, and color and you will never have the same one as your bff, mom, sister, aunt or your work pal, as each piece is unique in its composition. We are proud to support local artists and we hope you enjoy this collab as much as we do!
Artist Bio
Where New Wave flirts with Rock and Retro, Uplifted by Meve is the brainchild of Mary-Eve Ruel, a cutting edge visual artist from Montreal.
With a touch of pop culture using rawness, mostly funny humour and rebellion, Meve gives a second life to vintage objects, statues, furniture and paintings. She uses her creativity to pay tribute, to speak her truth, to educate and to take care of mama earth.
There is a fun fact or a story behind each piece that has been Uplifted including an authentication number certificate. Truly one of a kind.
Meve hacks and recycles vintage treasures since 2020. After several years as a fashion designer, the transition to art was very organic and despite her short career as a self-taught artist, she already has several fans and clients including artistic personalities.
